For the past 25 years, Tamie-Ann has found a sanctuary of peace on her yoga mat. It all began with breath and posture lessons in her aunt’s living room as a teenager. Later, she took registered classes at university, studied books and videos, and for a few years, enjoyed the sweaty goodness of hot yoga classes. When the time came to make a career change, becoming a yoga teacher just made sense. And now, as a Buddhist, teaching yoga is her expression of right livelihood: good, kind, compassionate work.
Tamie-Ann earned her 200 hr Certification at Yoga for Today, and is currently working towards her 500 hr Certification at Empowered Yoga. She is trained in Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Meditation. She believes yoga isn’t just about the poses. Her classes weave philosophy, asana, pranayama, and meditation all together into a robust Hatha yoga practice. Grounded, insightful, and playful. Her classes will help you work out your kinks, and will leave you calm, relaxed, and refreshed.
